Raiffeisen Switzerland offers a broad range of money market products and services as an active participant in global as well as domestic money markets. We mainly act as a taker of unsecured deposits from institutional clients worldwide to support efficient liquidity management and provide valuable short-term funding to the Raiffeisen group.

Key competencies:

• Offering a unique combination of a balance sheet of the highest quality, a risk-averse and sustainable business model, outstanding client focused service as well as attractive prices for deposits in USD, EUR, CHF and other currencies in tenors up to 1Y
• Providing Certificates of Deposit (CDs) under a highly rated program
• Market maker on the SIX repo platform, supporting liquidity in the Swiss repo market in various currencies. We are also active on Eurex, dealing mainly EUR in the GC basket.
• Occasionally acting as lenders in both secured and unsecured markets, providing liquidity in LCR friendly tenors to well established and renowned banking clients. Our group’s prudent approach to risk-taking governs these transactions and ensures a conservative risk-appetite.

Raiffeisen Switzerland is a one-stop provider of foreign exchange in major currencies.

Key competencies:

• Expert liquidity provider in major currencies for FX spot, forwards, swaps and OTC options
• Experienced FX swaps market maker in CHF and G20 currencies, managing a broad and diversified book across interbank, corporate, and institutional clients
• Access to global liquidity through the interbank market, ensuring optimal execution and competitive pricing for our clients
• Trading on all major platforms such as 360T, FXall, Bloomberg, and our proprietary “RAI-Trade“- tool

Raiffeisen Switzerland signed the FX Global Code in November 2019.

Our expertise in the rates business is rooted in Raiffeisen Switzerland’s position as the largest mortgage lender in the Swiss domestic market.

• Expert market maker in the Swiss interest rate swap market, covering the entire curve
• Actively managed risk books, which introduce an additional layer of flow and axes, enhancing market opportunities for our clients

Raiffeisen Switzerland launched a Green Bond program at the end of 2021, focused on financing environmentally friendly buildings and setting the framework for future Raiffeisen Green Bond issuances. Green Bonds are primarily aimed at institutional investors.

Raiffeisen Switzerland is committed to provide active market making in the Swiss secondary bond market.

Raiffeisen Switzerland has successfully issued structured products since 2016, building on over a decade of expertise.

• Issuing and distributing structured products for the Raiffeisen Group and clients in Switzerland
• Offering tailored investment solutions for various market situations with diverse currencies, regions, themes, and asset classes, catering to both retail customers and professional investors
• Expanding our position as a significant provider of structured products in the Swiss market
• In-house trading capabilities to hedge a significant part of the structured products flow

Raiffeisen Switzerland launched its own issuance platform Structify in November 2024. The application offers the possibility to create customized product solutions, thus allowing us to respond more individually to the needs and wishes of our customers.

Precious metals, including gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, are integral to Raiffeisen Switzerland's core business. With extensive expertise and a steadfast commitment to quality, we work closely with our customers to meet their needs.

Key competencies:

• Our range of unallocated products in all four metals, including spot, swap, forwards, and OTC options. We offer account management services for both loco Zurich and loco London
• Physical precious metals - bars and coins - with comprehensive support in handling, secure storage, and reliable transportation

Commitment to responsible sourcing:

• All Raiffeisen gold bars have been produced with a commitment to responsible sourcing and traceability since April 2021.
• Raiffeisen Switzerland became the first Swiss bank to issue a responsibly sourced and traceable gold ETF: “Raiffeisen ETF - Solid Gold Responsibly Sourced & Traceable” in November 2021.

As an LBMA Full Member, Raiffeisen Switzerland only sells gold bars from refiners that meet LBMA Good Delivery Standards. Raiffeisen Switzerland signed the LBMA Global Precious Metals Code.
